Devoted to preparing young children for lives of creativity, independence, and leadership, Salado Montessori in Salado, Texas was founded in 2016 by a passionate group of local parents and Montessori advocates. It offers a unique one-room classroom experience for children ages 3 to 6. Here, students engage in hands-on, self-directed learning guided by the educational philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori, which honors each child’s natural curiosity and potential.

The classroom environment is rich with purpose-built Montessori materials— to teach cause and effect and instill respect for their surroundings. These tools are intentionally designed to translate abstract concepts, such as math and language, into concrete, memorable experiences.

With a grant made possible by MGGF for new Montessori materials Salado will be able to replace worn and broken ones purchased several years ago. This grant will directly support a nurturing and intellectually stimulating environment where young learners develop foundational skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning—ready to grow into thoughtful, capable contributors to their communities.
