Montessori Foundation of Ghana (MoFoG)

2025

Montessori Foundation of Ghana (MoFoG) is a national association engaged in uniting Montessori practitioners and stakeholders to support, monitor, and elevate the standard of Montessori education across the country. Their mission is clear: to inspire and empower our community to deliver authentic Montessori programs that nurture the full development of infants, children, and adolescents. We are guided by principles that honor individuality, promote responsibility, and educate for peace through diversity, collaboration, and respect.

MoFoG envisions a future where Montessori education is a well-known and deeply respected choice for Ghanaian families. Through professional development, policy advocacy, and community engagement, we strive to make that vision a reality.

MGGF is fulfilling their request to enroll deserving teachers in the AMI Orientation Course for ages 3–6. This course is a crucial first step in awakening a deeper understanding and passion for Montessori practice. The financial realities in Ghana make such training nearly impossible for the average teacher earning between $100–$200 per month.

These grant funds will not only equip individual teachers to transform their classrooms, but—thanks to a matched scholarship from the training center—will double the impact, training up to 10 educators.

These teachers will not only enrich the lives of the children they serve but will also share their knowledge, uplifting their colleagues and strengthening Montessori practice across the country.
