Hilltop Montessori School

Hilltop Montessori School, a fully accredited and deeply rooted educational institution located in Vermont, plans to expand in order to meet urgent community needs. Serving over 120 students from toddler age through middle school, Hilltop is committed to providing an authentic Montessori education that fosters independence, curiosity, and social responsibility. This expansion will create a new classroom for toddlers ages 12 to 24 months—responding to a long-standing waitlist—and will provide much-needed space for the school’s Learning Specialist Team to support students with diverse learning needs. With a mission grounded in equity and inclusion, Hilltop uses an income-based tuition scale to ensure access for families across the socioeconomic spectrum. The expansion is aimed at addressing the local childcare shortage and enhancing individualized learning support.

MGGF grant funds will directly contribute to creating a warm, purposeful environment where children can thrive—now and into the future while serving children with special learning needs and addressing the childcare shortage in this rural community. This grant will facilitate long-term continuity and growth.
