Pulse of Life Kindergarten

MGGF is investing in Hope and Learning for Syria’s Children

Pulse of Life Kindergarten in Dara’a Governorate, Syria, is transforming the lives of 76 children aged 5–12 who have experienced displacement, war, and ongoing poverty. Many of our students have missed months or years of schooling, returning to Syria with deep educational gaps and the scars of trauma. Pulse of Life provides a free, safe, and nurturing environment where children can rebuild their confidence, develop resilience, and reach their full potential.

By integrating evidence-based literacy instruction with the child-centered Montessori approach, Pulse of Life meets each child where they are, supporting individualized learning and fostering peace and self-directed growth. Our educators, all native Arabic speakers and former refugees from Dara’a, bring both lived experience and cultural fluency to the classroom, ensuring that every child is seen, supported, and empowered.

With support from MGGF training will be made possible to train four Pulse of Life educators in Montessori methods—first through 6–8 weeks of virtual training in Syria, followed by one month of in-person training in Lebanon. With this training, our educators will be equipped to implement Montessori practices fully, helping children close educational gaps, build resilience, and thrive academically and socially.

The impact of this support will be transformative. Educators will gain confidence in their skills, ensuring that Pulse of Life becomes a sustainable, Montessori-based program that prepares children not just to learn—but to flourish.
