Montessori for Lebanon

In a country where opportunity is often limited by circumstance, this initiative is opening the door to lasting change through education. Montessori for Lebanon aims to provide quality Montessori teacher training to those living there. For five years, a dedicated volunteer-led community in Lebanon has been quietly cultivating awareness of Montessori principles, supporting parents, and nurturing a new generation of educators. Now, through the AMI 3–6 Diploma training, that vision is becoming tangible.

A grant from MGGF will make it possible to train multiple teachers by covering essential trainer-related expenses, removing financial barriers for aspiring educators—many of whom would otherwise be unable to access training abroad. These adults, drawn from diverse and often underserved backgrounds, are not only gaining world-class Montessori credentials; they are becoming catalysts for change within their own communities.

The impact ripples outward. Each trained teacher brings child-centered, high-quality education to children who might otherwise never experience it—while also empowering parents and caregivers with tools for nurturing development at home. With every cohort, the foundation for a sustainable, locally rooted Montessori movement grows stronger.

This is more than teacher training—it is an investment in human potential, equity in education, and the transformation of communities for generations to come.
