Montessori education sessions for parents

Loo Kindergarten´s Pääsupesa Montessori group

In Jõelähtme, Estonia, a community is coming together to create something deeply meaningful: a public Montessori classroom where children can grow with independence, curiosity, and confidence from their very first days of learning. Set within Loo Kindergarten, this new municipal program will open its doors in 2026—making child-centered education accessible to families who have long hoped for it.

A grant from MGGF will be the key to bringing this vision to life. By funding essential Montessori materials, the grant transforms an empty classroom into a carefully prepared environment where children can explore, concentrate, and learn at their own pace. While Montessori can be practiced in many settings, access to a full set of materials allows the approach to be implemented with greater depth and fidelity—unlocking its full potential as a powerful force for growth and discovery.

The impact will be immediate and lasting. Children will develop independence, self-regulation, and foundational academic skills through hands-on learning. Families will gain access to high-quality Montessori education within the public system—removing financial barriers and expanding opportunity. And as the first program of its kind in the municipality, this classroom will serve as a model for what is possible, inspiring future growth and investment.

MGGF is proud to provide this grant that will help transform a community, and shape the lives of children for years to come.
