Divine Mercy Montessori School
At Divine Mercy Montessori School in Uganda, education is rooted in dignity, inclusion, and the belief that every child—regardless of ability or income—deserves the chance to thrive. Serving young learners during their most formative years, the school is building a model of Montessori education that is both accessible and deeply connected to its local community.
With a grant from MGGF it will be transformational. By funding the construction of inclusive washrooms and revitalizing classroom environments, this support removes critical barriers that prevent children—especially those with special needs—from fully participating in school life. These improvements do more than upgrade facilities; they create safe, welcoming spaces where independence, confidence, and curiosity can flourish.
The impact will be both immediate and lasting. With better access, higher attendance, and a more engaging Montessori learning environment, over 150 young children will gain essential life skills during their most important early years. At the same time, this investment supports a sustainable, community-led model—one that uses locally made materials, involves families, and can serve as an example for other schools in the region.
This is the power of an MGGF grant: a focused, practical investment that unlocks opportunity, fosters inclusion, and transforms not just classrooms—but entire communities.
