Little Tree Community
Little Tree Community is a grassroots Primary–6th grade Montessori micro-school in Hollister, California created to be a safe, loving bridge between home and school—especially for families who historically have had limited access to high-quality education. Founded by a mother-daughter duo of AMI-trained Montessorians in response to the isolation many children experienced after COVID, Little Tree has grown into a deeply inclusive community serving traditionally marginalized families, neurodivergent children, and students with learning or physical differences. Every classroom is led by AMI or AMS-trained educators who collaborate closely with families and outside support providers to ensure each child is truly seen, supported, and able to thrive.
Funding from MGGF will allow Little Tree to secure its permanent Certificate of Occupancy by completing essential permitting, accessibility, and facility improvements, including ADA-compliant parking and ramps and drought-friendly landscaping. These upgrades are not just regulatory requirements—they are foundational to creating a prepared, safe, and inclusive Montessori environment where children can move freely, learn independently, and reach their full potential. With a permanent facility in place, Little Tree can continue serving one of the most underserved areas of Hollister, expand access through individualized tuition plans and tuition-free placements, and ensure this vital Montessori community remains accessible, stable, and impactful for years to come.
