Fig Tree Montessori was born from a mother’s determination to give her children an education that honored their identity and nurtured their potential. What began as a personal mission grew into a community effort—one dedicated to making authentic, high-fidelity Montessori education accessible to families of all socio-economic backgrounds through an income-based tuition model. By expanding from an elementary program to include a primary classroom, the school ensures children receive a strong developmental foundation from the start. At its heart, Fig Tree Montessori, located in Margate, Florida invests not only in children, but also in parents, believing that raising children is a collective work requiring a strong social fabric. Now, the school seeks to strengthen its mission by providing professional Montessori training for its guides—ensuring that every child is met by a well-prepared adult who can observe, understand, and respond to their unique developmental needs. This investment will ripple far beyond the classroom, bringing equity, excellence, and transformation to a community where many had never dreamed Montessori could be within reach.

With help from grant funds from MGGF Fig Tree will be able to fulfill their goal of training a Primary guide for their growing school thus ensuring a high fidelity Montessori education.
