Farm School KC requests additional training for their adolescent teacher

Located in Kansas City, Missouri Farm School KC is a Montessori middle and high school program which emphasizes real world learning on a 10-acre campus with a fully functioning farm, run by the students. Their mission is to provides an environment that integrates a global academic approach, an exploration of intellectual inquiry, and working as a community to meet the developmental needs of the individual adolescent and the whole simultaneously. The Farm School is where students learn the power of the self to contribute to the community, while developing global responsibility, leadership, empathy, self-awareness, and the ability to question and challenge.

Their vision is to create a safe, inclusive learning environment for any student that has the desire to use their time well, contribute to the community and further their whole self. Where students feel challenged by a global academic curriculum, their work with the earth and develop their self-agency. That when students step foot in the world they have the leadership to not only make an impact in their local community but throughout the globe.

In order to achieve their goals Farm School KC has asked for assistance in providing additional training for their Adolescent teacher which includes 6 weeks of onsite training in the Summer of 2024. The impact of this additional training goes beyond its clear immediate impact. The students, parents and community will learn different ways of interacting based on the additional training their teacher receives.
